Hailing from the mountains of Boone, North Carolina, Rainbow Kitten Surprise takes influence from artists like Modest Mouse, Lana Del Rey and Kings of Leon — delivering catchy, yet deep lyrical meaning, beautifully designed bass lines, and melodic guitar riffs. RKS's excellent 2013 debut LP is a combination of their first EP, Mary, which was recorded in a dorm room at Appalachian State University, where the core of the band started, and Seven, their first album.
