Requiem follows Korn’s critically acclaimed 2019 release, The Nothing. Korn changed the world with the release of their self-titled debut album. It was a record that would pioneer a genre — nu metal — while the band’s enduring success points to a larger cultural moment. The band began working on Requiem, their 14th studio album, during the Covid-19 lockdown. The first single, “Start The Healing,” was released November 11, 2021, and the second, “Forgotten,” on January 13, 2022, ahead of the album’s release.
